Özden ŞAHİN İZMİRli
Prof. Dr. Özden ŞAHİN İZMİRLİ is working at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University. Prior to ÇOMÜ, she worked at Eskişehir Osmangazi University. She worked as a researcher at The Ohio State University (USA) between 2015-2016 and The Open University (UK) between 2023-2024. At The Ohio State University, she worked on “College Ready Ohio” and “EDCITE: Evaluating Digital Content for Instructional and Teaching Excellence” projects at The Ohio State University. She conducted her research on “Effects of Prompts on Self-Regulated Learning” at The Open University. He successfully completed the project he carried out within the scope of Tübitak 3001 – Initial R&D Projects Support Program (2015-2018). Dr. Şahin İzmirli is also the field editor of TED Journal of Education and Science. Her research focuses on the integration of technology into learning environments, motivation and engagement in digital learning, learning analytics, characteristics and productions of instructional materials, educational communication, communication design and qualitative research methods.

Ömer KIRMACI

She completed her PhD education at Gazi University Computer Education and Instructional Technology Education program with her thesis titled “Design and Development of Gamified Learning Environment in Distance Education”. Since 2012, he has been working as a lecturer at Kırklareli University Distance Education Application and Research Center. Since 2023, he has been working as the center director. He has been producing projects and publications on the design and development of technology-supported systems to increase human performance and success. Recently, he has been working in the field of human computer interaction, which focuses on the use of biometric data to improve online distance education performance.

Eren Can AYBEK

Eren Can Aybek received his bachelor’s degree from Balıkesir University, Department of Physics Education in 2009. He completed his master’s and doctoral education at Ankara University, Department of Measurement and Evaluation.
Since 2017, he has been a faculty member at Pamukkale University, Faculty of Education, Department of Measurement and Evaluation in Education. In 2021, he joined Boğaziçi University AdaptiveTesting Laboratory as a researcher.
Her research interests mostly include Computerized Adaptive Testing (CAT) and Item Response Theory (IRT) and he is involved in national and international projects to support these topics.

Sebahat GÖREN

She completed his undergraduate education at Gazi University, Faculty of Education, Secondary Mathematics Teaching Program. She received her master’s degree at Gazi University, Institute of Educational Sciences, Department of Measurement and Evaluation in Education and her doctorate degree at Hacettepe University, Institute of Educational Sciences, Department of Measurement and Evaluation in Education. She worked as a mathematics teacher at TED Ankara College High School between 2013-2016. In 2016, she was appointed to Kütahya Dumlupınar University, Department of Educational Sciences-Department of Measurement and Evaluation in Education with ÖYP. Since 2024, she has been working as “Assistant Professor” at the same university. Her research interests include the development and adaptation of measurement instruments, applications of item response theory, computerized adaptive testing, multistage testing, testlets, test equating, structural equation models, measurement invariance and differential item functioning.

Seyit ATEŞ
Dr. Seyit ATEŞ is working at Gazi University. Graduated in 2000 from Gazi University, Gazi Faculty of Education, Department of Classroom Teaching, Dr. Ateş worked as a classroom teacher in a village primary school in Mardin and a private primary school in Ankara between 2000-2006. His academic interests are in the areas of social learning networks, educational multimedia, open and distance learning, and online learning. He is conducting various academic studies and researches in these areas.

Berker BULUT
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Berker BULUT is a faculty member at Aydın Adnan Menderes University. He completed his bachelor’s and master’s degree at Aydın Adnan Menderes University and his doctorate in Classroom Education at Gazi University. His research interests include primary reading-writing teaching, listening and comprehension skills, digital literacy. With topics such as learning with mobile games, online learning activities, Dr. Bulut adopts practice-based, student-centered and interdisciplinary approaches in her academic studies. At the same time, he works as an executive and researcher in various projects and serves as a field editor in national and international journals.

Between 2023-2024, he worked as a “Visiting Fellow” for one year at The Open University, the first university in the world to provide completely distance education within the scope of “Tübitak 2219 – International Postdoctoral Research Fellowship Program”. He conducted his project on “The Effect of Student’s Learning Analytics Dashboard Use on Achievement and Engagement: Comparison of Turkey and UK” at The Open University. He received the 3rd prize for the best qualitative research paper in the field of distance education from The Association for Educational Communications and Technology (AECT) in the USA. His research focuses on distance education, multimedia learning, learning analytics, integration of new technologies into education (artificial intelligence, etc.) and quantitative research methods.
